Architecture for communication with a fidelity criterion in unknown networks
We prove that in order to communicate independent sources between various users over an unknown medium to within various distortion levels, it is sufficient to consider source-channel separation based architectures: architectures which first compress the sources to within the corresponding distortion levels followed by reliable communication over the unknown medium.

The Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) provides wireless and mobile communication between vehicles and infrastructure to improve the safety of transportation and make the journey more enjoyable. This system consists of many fixed and mobile nodes (Vehicles, Trains, Vessels, Air planes), Wireless and Wired Telecommunication Technologies to exchange information between mobile nodes or betwee...

متن کاملEecient Communication in Unknown Networks
We consider the problem of disseminating messages in networks whose topology and size are not known to nodes. Three communication tasks of increasing diiculty are studied. In blind broadcasting (BB) the goal is to communicate the source message to all nodes. In acknowledged blind broadcasting (ABB) the goal is to achieve BB and inform the source about it. Finally, in full synchronization (FS) a...
